Future Lifegaurd at Sunset

On a spur of the moment late day trip to the beach, I was taking this shot with a seagull in place of the boy. Then Aden (the boy) decided to ruin my picture by chasing the bird. Lucky me! This came out much better than the bird shot did! Sometimes the wild antics of my son work out!

Lonely at the Top

I think I like this picture as a B&W, though Sepia and Color were nice too. Tomorrow I will try to show all 3 with an insta-poll for your voting pleasure. Come back tomorrow to check it out and vote.

Solo Flight Over the Atlantic

I took this picture of a seagull gliding over the atlantic from on top of a cliff. That is how I got the "aerial" view. Some might say that I took a picture of a seagull and using photoshop put it onto a picture of the ocean. That is not the case. This picture is as it was taken in the camera.

Cliff Sailing - Couldn't think of a better name.

This is in Montauk, NY. Home of Jaws! (30th Anniversary I believe!!!). Anyway, this is around Cavet's Cove (On the beach below the home of Dick Cavet.) Montauk has some seriously rocky beaches. As a matter of fact, around the time I took this picture, I decided to go in the water. I didn't want to get my sneakers wet, so I took them off going in barefoot. There was no sand, only slippery rocks. You can guess what happened. I think I broke my tail bone! No more wiggling my tail!

Diversity

This group of rocks was just a very small portion of the beach at Montauk, NY. The variety of rocks and colors and shapes floored me.

Montauk Lighthouse, Montauk, Long Island, NY

This was taken July 1, 2006. The Original Montauk Lighthouse was commisioned by George Washington in 1796. Notice the tower behind the lighthouse. This was a world war II lookout tower.
